Dear All,

Having ‘taken in’ America for a month. Expo 67, Niagara, N. York, Chicago, Oklahoma, Grand Canyon, El Paso, New Orleans and Daytona beach, came finally to rest here at S. Carolina 6,000 miles (later?) am now well and truly embroiled in the American educational system. Can’t wait to get back to England at (?).

The Creation Of Forgotten Postcards

I work in a second-hand shop which sells second-hand things, and at the back of this shop there is a small box of relatively inexpensive postcards. I was browsing through these postcards and noticed that there were messages written on them, clearly forgotten by their previous recipients and their senders, or maybe their senders and recipients were no longer around. Whatever the reason, they had ended up in this box and I thought it was a shame that these messages were left largely ignored and forgotten. In my eyes they were pieces of recent history written by ordinary people whose lives probably never had or would have had any recognition. Therefore I decided to buy them and search for other forgotten postcards with the goal of taking their pictures and typing out their messages for anyone who may be interested.
